Cal, one of our brewers, used to work at Cassel and a few months ago he suggested the idea of doing a collab with his pals back in Ottawa. So we got on the horn with their team, had a quick chit chat and bing bang bong we had an idea. Both our breweries wanted to do a lager, but we thought the dry hopping with big American hops would add a neat twist. Also, Cassel had a Mexican Lager strain in house, which is a new yeast for us, so I thought that would be fun to try out. Once we had the style locked, the name was just sorta there, Crujiente Boi = Crispy Boi It was a no-brainer really.
