As a destination brewery in cottage country, the winter months are always a challenge. That’s the case this year, same as it ever was. Now, this new reality of COVID-19 has led us to some very difficult decisions that we must make to put the safety of our staff, and our customers, first.
We will be reducing our retail hours to 1pm-7pm Tues-Sat (closed Sun & Mon) effective immediately. Our online store will continue operations to keep you from going thirsty, in the most socially responsible way we can manage. Sandi will be in isolation packing boxes with sanitary wipes on hand, and mailing them out to all you thirsty folk because as you know, not all heroes wear capes.
We’re asking our production team to stay home with their families, so you won’t see any new releases for the next few weeks. But we do have two new lagers coming Friday, the first half of a series – their counterparts remain safely nestled in their tanks awaiting our return. And have no fear, return we will, with a vengeance.
In the meantime, the LCBO will be fully stocked up with Sawdust City product, fresh off the line. And while we’ll be quieter than usual on the social and communication channels, Sam will be around if you do want to get in touch.
That’s all for now, we’re hitting pause, not stop. As responsible citizens, we feel this is the best way forward to become part of the solution, and not perpetuate the problem. So Ontario, we’ll see you on the other side.
Be safe and look after each other out there.
The Sawdust City Team
