This year’s 11.05 presents a deep, burnt ruby red, with aromas of candied fruit, dates, cherries and just a touch of fresh oak. Effervescent with a big malty finish, this massive ale hides its elevated alcohol content quite well. A slight acidity helps promote the drinkability, while the beer displays flavours of sweet malt upfront, spicy European hops through the middle and ending with a light fruity finish.
Easy drinking with a complex body, 11.05 is a great beer on its own or as an accompaniment to your favourite dish.
This annual collaboration brew takes place between our brewmaster Sam Corbeil, and Nickel Brook’s brewmaster, Ryan Morrow, who share the birthday November 5th. Every year is a different style, always with the goal of hitting 11.05% ABV.
